China Hakka Museum

China Hakka Museum is a national second-grade comprehensive museum presenting the origins and development of Hakka culture. It collects, studies and exhibits objects connected with Hakka history and folk traditions.

Zhongshan Xiangshan Commercial Culture Museum

China’s first museum dedicated to commercial culture, it occupies the former Shiqi Town Chamber of Commerce site from the 1940s at 152 Sun Wen West Road Cultural Tourism Pedestrian Street, Shiqi, Zhongshan. Opened on January 17, 2006, the museum brings together exhibitions, leisure, tourism and commemorative experiences.

Shenzhen Nanshan Museum

Shenzhen’s first district-level comprehensive museum, Nanshan Museum researches the region’s history and culture and collects and studies archaeological finds from Nanshan. Its scope also includes the ancient Maritime Silk Road and the historical heritage of the Guangfu region.

Maoming Chen Jinzhang Art Gallery

The first public art gallery in the Maoming area, the gallery is integrated with Dianbai District Museum and an art centre. The project represents an investment of approximately RMB 160 million and a total floor area of more than 11,000 square metres. Its opening created a new space for visual arts and exchange, supporting arts education and cultural life in Dianbai and Maoming.

Maoming City Martyrs Memorial Hall

The exhibition follows five periods: the Great Revolution and Agrarian Revolutionary War; the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression; the War of Liberation; the socialist revolution and construction; and reform, opening-up and socialist modernization. It presents the stories of influential Maoming martyrs and those from elsewhere who took part in revolutionary work in the region. Registered local martyrs are also commemorated by name, inviting visitors to honour their deeds and learn from their spirit.

Maoming Petrochemical Plant History Museum

Founded in May 1955, Maoming Petrochemical began with oil shale extraction and the production of synthetic petroleum. The brochure describes it as one of the 156 key projects of China’s First Five-Year Plan, the country’s first ten-million-ton refinery and first million-ton ethylene plant, and a major integrated fuel, lubricant and chemical production base. It also presents the company as an anchor of Guangdong’s green petrochemical industrial cluster.
